Emy's Birthday Party

Last weekend was my good friend Emy's RL birthday. I treated her to brunch at Ruby Tuesdays. We try to get together in real life every few weeks to catch up. We had fun sampling the crab omelet and apple cranberry crepe (we split and I took a box home).

She has a regular Sunday night dance event from 6-8 pm SLT that she choreographs. Last Sunday she invited everyone to her birthday party. Jim and Baby decorated their palace for the event complete with balloons and a huge chocolate cake.

She wanted to do a couples dance, which is difficult to pull off in SL. Many of us have a special person in our lives, but a specific time to meet for an event frequently doesn't work out. Jim encouraged everyone to make a special effort for her birthday and the turn out was really good. The only way the sim didn't overload was that everyone wasn't there at the same time.

Almost all of the ladies dressed in a soft light neutral shade and the gentlemen worn evening suits and tuxes.

Penguin Parade!

My friend Emy's regular Sunday night dance gig turned into a big send off for our friend Kathy. She is a marine scientist specializing in penguins in Antarctica. She spends most of her time with flippers on her feet, in submersibles and analyzing data. So the farewell party was a penguin theme.

We will all miss Kathy, she is a friendly, cheerful person. I enjoy talking with her and looking at all of the pictures she has given me.

Dancing - BBBC # 5

A couple of nights ago shortly after I logged on, my friend Hevy IM'ed me out of the blue! We chatted and he asked if I had time to help him test a new product he is working on. I said yes, and he TP'ed me. We spent the evening dancing. One of my absolute favorite things to do. I also like to be able to help people, and helping a friend is even better. Now what lady could resist that request? Never me!  *smiles*

Hevy is the main stay and a trainer for the Funky Feats dance group that I am in. It's choreographed dance. This picture would be typical of dancing with the group. It's lots of fun.

Faerie Circle Magic

Christmas Ball

I finally put up pictures of the Christmas Ball held in Kingdom on the Chronicles of Erebos blog. My friend and outstanding choreographer, Emy lead the couple dances for the event.

I think I am behind in everything I need or want to do in both worlds. My goal this year to to get myself organized and manage time more effectively.

Ch'Know & Friends Ring In 2010

A couple of days before the new year someone wished for a something to do for new years in the Ch'Know group chat. I think it was Tym. Ali worked her magic and threw together a celebration! She was smart and scheduled it for Dec 30th, knowing almost everyone would be ringing in the new year in RL rather than SL.

I thought I would pop into SL and wish my friends a "Happy New Year" after celebrating in in RL. Nope, I didn't make it into SL. I hope you all had someone to share the entrance of the new year with in one of your worlds. And that it will be a joyous and satisfying twelve months for you!
